The Cleaning Operative is responsible for delivering high-quality cleaning, hygiene, and waste management services across the site, ensuring compliance with all statutory, contractual, company, and health & safety requirements. The successful candidate will be reliable, hard-working, and committed to maintaining exceptional cleanliness standards while providing professional, courteous service to clients, tenants, and visitors at all times.

• Carry out routine cleaning duties, including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and emptying waste bins.
• Clean and sanitise desks, chairs, and other office furniture, ensuring all marks and stains are removed.
• Clean and maintain washroom facilities, including toilets, urinals, hand basins, and associated fixtures.
• Vacuum carpeted areas and undertake spot cleaning of carpets where required.
• Operate electrically powered cleaning equipment, including scrubbers, polishers, and burnishing machines, in accordance with training and safety procedures.
• Replenish consumable supplies, including soap, toilet rolls, paper towels, and other hygiene products.
• Undertake periodic deep-cleaning tasks and special cleaning projects as directed.
• Use cleaning chemicals and materials safely and effectively, following company procedures and manufacturer guidelines.
• Assist with the movement and relocation of furniture and equipment to support office moves, storage, and reconfiguration projects.
• Report any maintenance issues, hazards, or damage identified during cleaning duties to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude, interacting courteously with clients, tenants, colleagues, and visitors at all times.

• Previous cleaning experience preferred but not essential.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Knowledge of health and safety practices within a cleaning environment.
