Position: Cleaning Supervisor / Team Leader
JDR Recruitment are recruiting for Cleaning Supervisors for a large distribution centre based in Worcester, WR4.

Key Responsibilities Team Leadership Supervise, motivate, and support a team of 5 cleaning operatives. Allocate daily tasks and monitor completion against agreed standards. Conduct team briefings and toolbox talks. Assist with recruitment, induction, and training of new staff. Manage attendance, timekeeping, and performance issues in line with company procedures. Cleaning Operations Ensure all cleaning schedules are completed effectively and on time.

Monitor cleaning standards throughout warehouse, offices, canteens, washrooms, locker rooms, and communal areas. Carry out regular quality inspections and audits. Ensure specialist cleaning tasks are completed as required. Respond promptly to spillages, incidents, and urgent cleaning requirements. Health & Safety Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, COSHH regulations, and company policies. Conduct risk assessments and maintain safe systems of work.

Ensure correct use and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Investigate and report accidents, near misses, and hazards. Promote a positive safety culture within the cleaning team. Administration & Reporting Complete cleaning records, audit reports, and inspection documentation. Monitor stock levels and order cleaning materials and consumables. Report equipment faults and arrange repairs where necessary. Maintain accurate training and compliance records.

Liaise with site management regarding cleaning performance and operational requirements. Customer Service Build positive working relationships with Sainsbury's site management and employees. Ensure client expectations and service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently achieved. Handle complaints professionally and implement corrective actions. Person Specification Essential Requirements Previous experience in a cleaning supervisory / team leading role. Experience working in industrial, warehouse, logistics, or distribution environments.

Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and COSHH. Strong leadership and people management skills. Ability to organise workloads and prioritise tasks effectively. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Competent in completing reports and maintaining records. Flexible approach to working hours and operational requirements.

Desirable Requirements Knowledge of food distribution or FMCG environments. Cleaning management qualification or relevant certification. IOSH Working Safely or similar Health & Safety qualification. Experience using cleaning machinery such as scrubber dryers and ride-on equipment. First Aid qualification. Standing and walking for extended periods. Manual handling and operation of cleaning equipment. PPE must be worn as required. Shifts Available We are looking for 1 Supervisor to work a 6am-2pm shift and 1 Supervisor to work a 2pm-10pm shift - both shifts are working 5 days over 7 so does include some weekend work Salary: £13.71 per hour Benefits:
