Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Craftsperson – Mechanical NHS AfC:Band 5 Job overview
North Cheshire and Mersey NHS Foundation Trust are seeking to recruit a suitably experienced Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Craftsperson – Mechanical, to join our estates department.
The post holder should posses plumbing skills and knowledge and work as part of the estates team to deliver a comprehensive estates maintenance service, ensuring compliance with Trust standards, procedures, and legislation across the estate portfolio.

You will join and dynamic multidiscipline team, operating in a busy, fast‑paced environment that provides a diverse workload, you will have the support and opportunities through training to develop new skills to enhance your personal development.
Main duties of the jobTo undertake reactive and planned maintenance, service, test and inspection of complex engineering plant and equipment, plumbing works including drainage and sewerage systems, heating and ventilation, water systems and other mechanical systems, ensuring they are maintained to a high standard and in compliance with statutory regulations.
You will work alongside other trades to deliver a quality service using CAFM and other specialist software systems. You will join our out‑of‑hours on call service for which you will receive additional payments. The post will be based at Warrington Hospital, but there is expectation for the role to cover all Trust sites where required.

Person specification Experience- Accredited, apprentice trained and/or extensive experience in a mechanical trade – ideally plumbing
- In depth knowledge and experience of the Health Technical Memoranda, ACOPs, Health and Safety at Work Act and all relevant legislation.
- Experience of working in hospital environment.
