General Manager

General Manager, Maldives Travel Wholesaler, Warrington Area, £50-70k + Commission. A unique opportunity to join a well-established wholesaler of accommodation in the Maldives as they seek to expand their business operations to the UK market.  

General Manager Responsibilities

Establishing and driving distribution via the UK travel trade.

Negotiating commercial terms with trade partners.

Hosting and attending events to represent the business, seek out new partnerships, strengthen existing ones and drive brand/product awareness.

Hire and lead a small, yet high performing reservations team.

Establish and continuously improve operational processes.

General Manager Skills Required

A well networked individual with a strong track record of selling products in to the UK travel trade.

Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.

Experience leading and developing small teams.  

Knowledge of ATOL Licensing would be advantageous

Good knowledge of the Maldives would be a distinct advantage but not essential

General Manager Additional Details

A basic salary in the region of £50,000 - £70,000 per annum depending on experience

Commission/Bonus structure to be created

The role will mainly be office based in the Warrington area to begin with. Once the team are established there will be more flexibility for hybrid working.

Some UK and international travel is expected
