Responsible for the prioritisation and management of Rainwater Management partnership opportunities from the identification of eligible projects for funding, through the technical appraisal stages and subsequent processes required to exchange relevant agreements for delivery.
The role holder will be inspire, motivate and influence change within the business and externally with partners; driving Rainwater Management solutions into our collective ways of working, leveraging multiple benefits for the North West and delivering best value for operations and our customers.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities- Lead on the prioritisation and management of Rainwater Management partnership projects and opportunities, including Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) and Nature Based Solutions (NBS)
- Have an overarching view of all Rainwater Management partnership opportunities (across all programmes of work), providing ‘air traffic control’ and consistency across partnerships in delivering Rainwater Management solutions
- Feed into the company wide Partnerships Opportunity Pipeline to ensure visibility of all projects being progressed through partners
- Work collaboratively across UU to identify priority areas for partnership working aligned to AMP8 priorities linking in with the Place Based Planning Managers to identify opportunities arising from strategic alignment with partners in each place
- Support the creation and embedment of a Rainwater Management partnership strategic framework, including partnership strategy, delivery plan and success metrics.
- Responsible for establishing business processes to track and monitor the value delivered from partnerships for example, leverage funding, service improvements and wider holistic benefits
- Ensure partnerships deliver the required evidence and data to support and inform project business cases
- Work closely with legal and commercial to develop partnership and funding agreements
- For Rainwater Management Partnership projects lead and co‑ordinate the communication between United Utilities and lead Local Flood Authorities (LLFA) and other Risk Management Authority (RMA’s) stakeholders across the region.
- To be the focal lead for data sharing between organisations
