The Subcontractor Manager is responsible for managing subcontractor relationships, performance, compliance, and operational delivery across projects and service contracts. This role ensures subcontractors meet contractual obligations, quality standards, safety requirements, and project timelines while supporting operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will oversee subcontractor onboarding, performance monitoring, commercial coordination, and risk management while maintaining strong collaborative relationships with internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities Subcontractor Management
• Manage subcontractor relationships across multiple operational and project-based activities.
• Oversee subcontractor onboarding, qualification, and compliance processes.
• Ensure subcontractors deliver services in accordance with contractual agreements and company standards.
• Monitor subcontractor performance, productivity, and service quality.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and supplier evaluations. Operational Coordination
• Coordinate subcontractor activities with operational and project delivery teams.
• Ensure timely allocation of subcontractor resources to meet project and reactive work requirements.
• Support resolution of operational issues, delays, and escalations.
• Ensure subcontractors adhere to schedules, SLAs, and project milestones. Commercial & Contract Management
• Support negotiation and administration of subcontractor agreements.
• Monitor subcontractor costs, invoicing, and budget performance.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and commercial controls.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization and operational efficiencies.
• Assist in managing variations, claims, and contractual disputes. Compliance, Safety & Quality
• Ensure subcontractors comply with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor certifications, insurance documentation, and compliance records.
• Conduct audits, inspections, and quality assessments.
• Promote adherence to company policies, procedures, and operational standards. Stakeholder Engagement
• Maintain effective communication with internal departments, clients, and subcontractors.
• Act as the key point of contact for subcontractor-related operational matters.
• Support collaborative working relationships and issue resolution.
• Provide regular reporting on subcontractor performance and operational metrics. Continuous Improvement
• Drive improvements in subcontractor performance management processes.
• Support implementation of supplier management systems and digital tools.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Promote best practices in subcontractor governance and operational delivery.
