An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for an experienced Director of Operations to take strategic responsibility for our support services and play a critical role within our Executive Team. You will be working for one of the UK's leading specialist organisations.
This organisation is a leading care company supporting individuals with learning disabilities across the North West, providing a wide range of specialist services and support to help improve the lives and wellbeing of the people it serves
As the Director of Operations your key responsibilities include:- Provide strategic leadership and oversight across a portfolio of autism and adult social care services
- Lead the development and delivery of the organisation's operational strategy, ensuring services meet long-term objectives
- Take executive-level responsibility for service quality, performance, regulatory compliance and safeguarding
- Oversee financial performance, budgets and resource allocation to ensure services remain financially sustainable
- Drive service transformation, continuous improvement and the development of innovative, person-centred support
- Lead and develop senior management teams, promoting accountability, strong leadership and workforce excellence
- Ensure services deliver high-quality, person-centred support that meets the needs of autistic adults
- Strengthen relationships with commissioners, local authorities, regulators and external stakeholders to support service development
- Identify opportunities for growth, improve occupancy and referrals, and support the expansion of services
- Provide strategic advice and operational insight to the executive team, contributing to organisation-wide planning and decision-making
- Significant senior leadership experience within autism services, learning disabilities or adult social care
- Proven experience leading multiple services or a large, geographically dispersed operational portfolio
- Strong understanding of autism, person-centred care, safeguarding and regulatory requirements
- Demonstrable experience of strategic planning, service transformation and organisational development
- Strong financial management skills, including budgetary control, resource allocation and improving service sustainability
- Experience leading, developing and motivating senior management teams across complex services
- A track record of improving service quality, operational performance and outcomes for people supported
- Experience working with commissioners, local authorities, regulators and other key stakeholders
- Excellent leadership, communication and decision-making skills, with the ability to influence at executive level
- A commitment to promoting inclusion, independence, choice and positive outcomes for autistic adults
