Graduate Junior Engineer

One of the leading UK water utilities is looking for a PLC HMI and SCADA Software Engineer to support the modernization of treatment works and process plants across its network. The successful candidate will develop, test and commission software on Siemens and Allen‑Bradley platforms, support customer acceptance testing, and be involved in on‑site commissioning at water and wastewater treatment plants.

• Develop PLC HMI and SCADA software on Siemens and Allen‑Bradley platforms.
• Write and maintain deliverable documents such as software design specifications and functional design specifications.
• Support customer Factory Acceptance testing of software.
• Commission and validate the software at customer sites; travel to treatment plants as required.
• Obtain customer sign‑offs on documents and maintain backups.
• Provide support for service calls and device configurations.

• Experience developing PLC HMI and SCADA applications on Siemens and Allen‑Bradley platforms.
• Familiarity with industrial automation documentation.
• Basic understanding of Operation Technology, control systems, instrumentation and electrical circuits.
• Knowledge of historian systems in an industrial environment.

• Valid UK driving licence and willingness to drive to sites; the company provides fuel mileage.
• Strong verbal communication skills and ability to interact with customers and multicultural teams.
