Position: Sewing Machinist (Industrial)

Sewing Machinist (Industrial) based in Warrington (WA4 6PS
), working Monday to Thursday 8am-4.45pm and Friday 8am-1pm. This full-time, temporary-to-permanent placement pays £13.00-£14.50 per hour.

Joining a local manufacturer of soft play and family entertainment equipment, you will craft high-quality items from PVC and other fabrics. Your duties involve operating industrial machines with a walking foot, interpreting work orders and patterns, and upholding exacting standards. Prior experience is essential, alongside precision and reliability. This position suits someone who takes pride in consistent, meticulous output.

Our client, a local manufacturing company and supplier of soft play and family entertainment centres, are looking to recruit an experienced 'Sewing Machinist' to join their Production team. You will play a vital role in the crafting of high-quality products, working with various fabrics, mainly PVC to deliver precision and excellence in every piece.

  • Work on industrial sewing machines, sewing mainly PVC fabrics.
  • Read and interpret work orders, patterns, and specifications.
  • Operating Industrial Sewing Machines with a walking foot.
  • Maintain consistent quality.
  • Conduct basic machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues.
  • Inspect finished items to ensure they meet company quality standards.
  • Keep workspace clean, organised, and safe at all times.
  • Previous experience of industrial sewing.
  • Strong knowledge of different stitching techniques.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good time management.
