Gi Group is recruiting on behalf of our client, a global life sciences organisation supporting scientific research, healthcare, and industrial laboratories. We are looking for a Cleanroom Manufacturing Technician to join a busy production team in Warrington (WA1) on a 12-month contract.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Working hours:
- Mon-Thu: 07:15 - 16:00
- Fri: 07:15 - 11:45
Location: Warrington, WA1 (site-based)
Cleanroom Manufacturing Technician PPE provided
You will be working within an ISO 7 cleanroom environment, following gowning and controlled process requirements, supporting semi-automated manufacturing and quality activities to ensure products are assembled and released to the required standards.
- Work in ISO 7 clean rooms wearing Tyvek gowning and hood PPE and maintaining high standards of contamination control.
- Perform multi-stage, semi-automated assembly on a production line as part of a team.
- Operate sealing/production equipment and complete in-process checks and visual inspections.
- Support associated manufacturing processes including cartridge assembly steps and cleaning activities.
- Submit regular samples to QC and maintain clear, accurate communication with quality teams; may support QC testing of intermediates and finished goods.
- Train and support new operators/technicians, helping them reach confident, unsupervised competency.
- Carry out equipment/instrument calibration activities and maintain calibration schedules within your designated area.
- Liaise with Engineering to report faults and support timely resolution, helping minimise downtime.
- Follow safety procedures, including hazardous waste handling, COSHH awareness, good housekeeping, and maintaining safe work areas.
- Complete regular cleanroom cleaning activities (particle reduction cleans) and support environmental monitoring (e.g., swab preparation/taking).
- Support continuous improvement and quality processes, including raising/managing records within quality systems and supporting investigations and change control documentation when required.
- Experience in manufacturing within a clean / controlled production environment (cleanroom experience preferred).
- Experience handling hazardous materials and good awareness of COSHH.
- Able to follow written/verbal instructions, meet targets, and complete documentation to GDP standards.
- Good manual dexterity; comfortable with some manual handling.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team with a flexible approach to changing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable using computers/terminals during the working day and contributing to continuous improvement activity.
