Pertemps is recruiting an experienced Machine Setter / Engineering Setter to join a well-established precision engineering manufacturer in Warrington.
This is a long-term opportunity offering £18.36 per hour inclusive of shift allowance, increasing to £20.00+ per hour once fully trained.
The roleYou’ll be responsible for setting and operating specialist manufacturing machinery, producing precision-engineered components to required quality standards.
Duties include- Setting and operating up to three manufacturing/heading machines
- Reading and working from engineering drawings
- Carrying out quality inspection checks
- Using micrometres, vernier callipers, gauges and other measuring equipment
- Making machine adjustments and resolving production issues
- Completing production records and SAP transactions
- Ensuring quality and safety standards are maintained.
- Machine setting or mechanical engineering experience
- Experience with in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment.
- Level 3 Engineering qualification or relevant experience
- Good mechanical and problem-solving skills
- Experience as a Machine Setter, Engineering Setter, Heading Setter, Machine Operator/Setter or Manufacturing Technician would be particularly relevant.
You’ll work a rotating 3-shift pattern: 6am–2pm | 2pm–10pm | 10pm–6am
