Location:
Warrington
Pay Rate: £15.31 per hour
Hours:
Monday-Thursday, 7am-3pm | Friday, 7am-12pm
Hours per week: 37
Overtime:
Available when required
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Press Brake Setter/Operator to join a busy manufacturing environment in Warrington.
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating press brake machinery to produce high-quality, accurate components in line with engineering drawings and production requirements.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in press brake setting, sheet metal work or fabrication who takes pride in producing quality work.
Key Responsibilities- Set and operate CNC press brake machines, including AMADA equipment.
- Select and fit the correct tooling for each job.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Programme and adjust machines when changing between jobs.
- Work with different sheet metal materials and thicknesses.
- Ensure components meet required measurements and quality standards.
- Carry out quality inspections and maintain accurate production records.
- Meet production targets and deadlines.
- Carry out basic machine maintenance and report faults or breakdowns.
- Work closely with the production team to ensure jobs are completed efficiently.
- Follow health and safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised workspace.
- Previous experience setting and operating press brake machinery.
- Experience with in a manufacturing, engineering or sheet metal environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Understanding of press brake tooling, bending operations and material specifications.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience with AMADA press brakes.
- Sheet metal fabrication or electrical containment manufacturing.
- Experience with CNC programming and machine adjustments.
- Relevant machine operation qualifications.
- FLT or scissor lift experience
