We are currently looking for a Marketing Director to join our in‑house Marketing Team spread across the UK & Netherlands. As a key member of the RPS Services business, your role is to lead the marketing and communications function in the execution of both external marketing strategies and internal communication plans.

The RPS Services Marketing Team operates across the UK & Netherlands. The team manages internal communications, media, campaigns, events, digital marketing and PR. Working alongside our technical specialists in our Water Consultancy, Laboratories, Occupational Health, and Asset, Survey & Inspection Teams, they define, design, and deliver innovative projects that shape our communities. Supported by a global team of 30,000 consultants and trusted advisors, we collaborate with leading minds to transform vital projects from ideas to reality.

The largest projects span the globe and shape the future of environmental, energy, and infrastructure solutions.

About

The Role

The role ensures consistent brand messaging across all channels, aligning marketing efforts with organisational goals and fostering a positive internal culture. It is a blend of tactical response and long‑term strategy. As a valued member of and partner to the executive leadership team, this role drives new and innovative solutions to facilitate continued growth and profitability.

We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with experience in digital‑first environments and those who have operated across the EMEA region
. A background in professional services or consultancy‑led businesses is highly desirable, where strategic marketing and stakeholder engagement are key to success.

Your Responsibilities
  • Overall responsibility for the marketing team within RKS and the business‑specific marketing strategy, plans, projects and campaigns.
  • Identify and oversee implementation of marketing initiatives through execution of campaigns, events, digital marketing and PR.
  • Support development of value propositions for campaigns, bids and proposals.
  • Increase awareness of the organisation by setting and managing social media/digital communication strategy to build awareness, engagement and community.
  • In collaboration with marketing leaders across the Tetra Tech portfolio, oversee and innovate with digital marketing channels and websites to optimise the brand potential and ensure advocacy for the needs and position of the Services Business.
  • Lead and develop a high‑performing marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Drive continuous analysis of competitive environment and market trends.
  • Implement a data‑driven approach to refine strategies and improve overall marketing effectiveness.
  • Present monthly performance narratives to executive leadership, tying initiatives to ROI.
  • Set and manage departmental budget in line with forecast and strategy.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with stakeholders across regions, driving thought leadership and content creation in support of marketing strategy.
  • Oversee maintenance of internal communications media and content creation to support internal messaging.
  • Oversee the growth and structuring of the marketing team to support business objectives.
  • Lead a culture of excellence, collaboration, and results‑driven execution.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
  • Experience leading teams across geographical regions (Dutch or European experience preferred).
  • Substantial marketing leadership experience, ideally within a professional services or consultancy‑led environment.
  • Strong digital marketing background with proven success in EMEA markets.
  • Deep and current understanding of digital technologies, media tools and emerging innovations.
  • Adroit strategist yet comfortable being hands‑on.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills to measure activity and drive performance.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal English.
  • Experience working within a portfolio or matrix business.
Qualifications
  • Professional qualification in Marketing and/or Communication.
  • Dutch speaker is desirable but not essential.
