As a Registered Nurse with Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust, you will be working together as part of a multidisciplinary, professional team to assess care needs, and develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care.

Main duties of the job- Manage a team of 6-8 acute patients.
- Plan, implement evaluate patient care.
- Escalate care to specialist multidisciplinary team.
- Support student nurses and newly qualified nurses.
- Administer medications including intravenous medications, managing Epidurals, PCA, syringe drivers.
- Develop skills and be responsible for own learning and development through CPD
Warrington ward is a 17 bedded surgical ward with the following specialties: ENT, head and Neck cancers, Facial Maxilla Surgery, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology and general Surgery. The ward is fast paced with a high daily turn over with an average patient length of stay 2-3 days.
The ward is a great place to practice extended skills, learn new skills whilst role modelling and leading a diverse team.

Person Specification- Registered Nurse NMC pin number
- Diploma / degree in nursing or on a pathway
- Evidence of meeting PREP requirements
- Able to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care
- Knowledge of clinical governance
- Knowledge of individual responsibility to health and safety and clinical risk
- Awareness of the NHS plan and current initiatives
