All flexible working requests will be considered in line with service requirement., As a Nursing Associate, you will work alongside Registered Nurses and the wider multi-professional team to provide safe, compassionate and person-centred care. You will deliver a wide range of delegated clinical care within your scope of practice, promoting health, independence, dignity and wellbeing. You will work independently where appropriate, while recognising your professional boundaries and escalating concerns or changes in a persons condition to the Registered Nurse or other appropriate professional.
Your role will include undertaking clinical observations, monitoring blood glucose, nutrition and hydration, supporting medication administration, wound care, catheter care, venepuncture and cannulation where trained and competent, and contributing to assessment, care planning and evaluation. You will support individuals with complex and long-term conditions, end-of-life care, dementia and other health needs, ensuring their physical, emotional, psychological, social, cultural and spiritual needs are considered.
You will maintain accurate electronic records, follow safeguarding, consent, Mental Capacity Act, infection prevention and information governance requirements, and report incidents or concerns appropriately. You will communicate effectively with patients, families, carers and colleagues, demonstrating compassion, empathy and respect at all times., 1. To provide a wide range of nursing care as determined by service requirements and delegated by a registered practitioner at the level required of a Nurse Associate.
All concerns and queries would be escalated to the Registered Nurse on duty who will provide advice and guidance., 1. 1. Communicate effectively across a wide range of channels and with a wide range of individuals, the public, health and social care professionals, maintaining the focus of communication on delivering and improving health and care services.
1. Demonstrate inter-personal skills that promote clarity, compassion, empathy, respect and trust and liaising with patients, staff and visitors at all times.
1. Contribute to team success and challenge constructively to promote service improvements.
1. Communicate with individuals, carers, family and other visitors in a courteous and helpful manner, whilst being mindful that there may be barriers to understanding.
1. Report to appropriate registered care professionals information received from individuals, carers and team members to ensure the best possible care and to continue to promote multi-disciplinary working/partnership working.
