Health and Safety Advisor/Facilities Admin Support
Salary: £35,000
Location:
Warrington (Based)
Working pattern:
Monday - Friday (Day shift)
Hours per week: 40
Permanent contract

Due to continued business growth and the development of our team, we are seeking to strengthen our Health & Safety expertise to ensure full compliance with all legal and statutory requirements.
Responsibilities:- Support the risk assessment process and consider how risks could be reduced
- Carry out FRA for all Depots
- Outline safe operational procedures which identify and consider all relevant hazards
- Review the depot inspections/audits in MYC to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented.
- Review the actions produced from MYC to ensure completion.
- Ensure working practices are safe and comply with legislation
- Lead in-house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks
- Keep records of inspection findings and produce reports that suggest improvements
- Review incidents and accidents in MYC and produce statistics for managers
- Advise on a range of specialist areas, e.g., fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, and occupational diseases.
- Produce schedules for the facilities team
- Review the schedule for legal and statutory compliance.
- NEBOSH General Certificate
- Tech IOSH as a minimum
- General H&S knowledge and skills to help promote a positive health and safety culture in our workplace.
- Experience in the Food and Drink Sector.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills to explain health and safety processes to a range of people and to give presentations to groups
- Negotiating skills to convince managers of the need to implement and maintain safety standards that may compromise speed or efficiency in the organisation
- Patience and diplomacy demonstrating a collaborative approach
- The ability to understand and analyse complex information and present it simply and accurately
- An investigative mind
- IT skills
- Attention to detail
- A flexible approach to work
- An interest in the law and the ability to understand regulations
- A full driving licence - essential for jobs involving travel between sites.
