Quality Control Engineer

We are recruiting for a Quality Control Engineer to join a leading organisation operating within a highly regulated engineering environment.

This role will support the delivery of complex projects by ensuring products, documentation, and supplier activities meet customer, contractual, and quality requirements throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.

• Conduct supplier and manufacturing inspections to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Review and approve quality documentation, including Quality Control Plans (QCPs) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
• Support engineering and project teams in defining quality and inspection requirements.
• Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Identify and manage quality risks, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
• Attend project reviews, supplier meetings, and customer inspections as required.
• Support tender activities by providing quality-related estimates and technical input.

• Manufacturing apprenticeship or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Experience with in quality control, inspection, manufacturing, or engineering environments.
• Strong understanding of quality documentation, inspection processes, and supplier quality management.
• Experience working within highly regulated industries such as nuclear, defence, aerospace, oil & gas, or heavy engineering is advantageous.
• Knowledge of fabrication, welding, NDT, mechanical inspection, or assembly/testing activities would be beneficial.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
