Overview

IKEA Warrington, WA5 7TY
, is looking to welcome an Order Picking Assistant to join our hardworking Fulfilment team.

What we offer

  • Competitive hourly rate of £13.45 per hour.
  • 24 hours weekly, working 4 days per week including 3 out of 4 weekends.
  • Working hours are between 8am to 10pm.

What you’ll need to have
  • You are comfortable using computers and handheld devices to support stock checking and answer customer questions.
  • You proactively look for tasks to be done and use your initiative to complete them efficiently.
  • You have an adaptable mindset allowing you to switch between tasks/areas and work within tight time frames.
  • You work with guidance from your manager to achieve set goals in agreed time frames using standard ways of working.
What you’ll be doing day to day
  • Pick and prepare large volumes of orders for both online and in‑store collection or delivery, including handing them to customers.
  • Receive stock, pick, check order accuracy, and prepare orders for delivery.
  • Meet customers when they come to receive their items.
  • Use internal systems to ensure customers have accurate and full stock availability at all times.
  • Ensure products are always available by accurately and promptly completing tasks in your assigned area of the warehouse.
  • Commit to all IKEA health, safety, and security rules and actively help colleagues prevent incidents involving co‑workers, customers, equipment, building, and products.
  • Contribute to optimized daily fulfilment operations by working in a lean, simple, and cost‑conscious way, applying, and sharing good examples.
  • Use manual handling safety protocols and pump trucks.
