Overview – Impact Sales ManagerThe Impact Sales Manager is a hands‑on, delivery‑focused role designed to drive immediate and measurable sales impact within clubs. This role exists to lift performance through presence – actively selling, coaching in real time, and leading by example in the moments that matter most.
Deployment in ClubThe Impact Sales Manager will typically be embedded in clubs for defined periods where one or more of the following applies:
- New club openings or pre‑sale activity
- Clubs that have undergone major capital investment or repositioning
- Clubs underperforming against sales, yield or activity targets
- Short‑term cover where sales vacancies exist while recruitment is underway
- Actively sell memberships while in club, working alongside the existing salespeople.
- Conduct tours, handle enquiries, close sales and manage follow‑up to model best‑in‑class behaviours.
- Set the daily pace and energy for the sales environment through leading by example.
- Take ownership of sales outcomes during deployment periods, not just coaching inputs.
- Drive immediate uplift in sales performance within deployed clubs.
- Identify blockers to performance quickly and implement clear, practical actions.
- Support clubs through peak trading periods, launches and campaign activity with a strong on‑site presence.
- Coach Sales Managers and Membership Advisors live, in real sales situations – tours, calls, objections and follow‑up, where required.
- Provide clear, actionable feedback that improves performance immediately.
- Where needed, build confidence and capability in Sales Managers to lead activity and standards once you step away – being discreet with all Sales Manager direct feedback, working with the Leisure Club Manager & National Sales Manager to ensure it is delivered effectively.
- Support onboarding and early‑stage development of new sales hires through hands‑on coaching.
- Set clear expectations around daily activity, urgency and follow‑through.
- Ensure Salesforce is used correctly to drive outcomes, not admin.
- Challenge poor habits, low energy and inconsistent standards directly and constructively.
- Reinforce a culture of ownership, accountability and commercial focus.
- Sales performance improves quickly and sustainably in deployed clubs.
- Teams increase confidence, pace and conversion as a result of working alongside you.
- Standards are raised and maintained, not just during your presence.
- New openings and investment clubs launch with strong early momentum.
- Strong personal selling capability – comfortable closing sales and leading from the front.
- Highly effective coach who improves performance through action, not theory.
- Commercially sharp, data‑led and outcome focused.
- Able to step into underperforming or unsettled environments and stabilise quickly.
- Willingness to travel extensively as part of the role.
