Customer Development Executive – McCurrach on behalf of Carlsberg Britvic

Location:

Runcorn, Warrington & surrounding areas (ideal postcode WA7). Permanent, full‑time – 40 hours per week.

Salary: £30,000 basic + 20% bonus.

What

you’ll do
  • Work with a Regional Sales Manager and sell the Soft Drinks and Beers portfolio, making face‑to‑face contact with Convenience (Symbol & Independent) retailers, establishing and retaining new business opportunities, and delivering a business plan focused on maximising sales.
  • Partner with customers by building outstanding relationships in convenience stores, understanding retailer needs, local consumers, and executing solutions.
  • Adopt a full‑category selling approach, growing and developing every outlet for the benefit of the retailer and Carlsberg Britvic.
  • Create a winning territory business plan and take a business‑development approach to grow sales and market share.
  • Use data and evidence‑based retailer successes to drive best practice in your territory, region, and across the team.
  • Develop a growth mindset and adaptable approach, offering alternative solutions to tackle challenges and win over stores.

  • Previous experience in Direct Sales/Convenience or FMCG is a plus.
  • Good administration, organisational and planning skills, commercially astute with negotiation techniques.
  • Self‑motivated and IT & social media literate.
  • Strong and resilient with personal energy and will to act at pace.
  • Proactive team participant, willing to collaborate.
  • Full valid manual driving licence; eligibility to work in the UK and live within a 60‑minute commute from the location of the role.
What we offer
  • Starting salary of £30,000; earn a 20% quarterly bonus upon meeting targets.
  • A company vehicle and fuel card.
  • Role requires a full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points or previous bans); offers contingent on successful completion of a DVLA licence check.
