Social Worker - Adults Multi-Disciplinary Team

Pay rate: £23 per hour
Contract: Locum – 3 months
Working pattern: Full Time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00 (with occasional Tuesday shifts 11:00–19:00)

Role overview

We are seeking an experienced Recovery Worker to join the Criminal Justice – Substance Misuse service in Warrington on a full-time locum basis for an initial three-month contract
.

In this role, you will work closely with probation services and prison-based teams
, supporting individuals affected by alcohol and non-opiate substance misuse
. This is a community-facing role requiring mobility, with regular home visits and appointments across community settings, including probation offices.

What you will do

Manage a caseload of clients with alcohol and non-opiate substance misuse needs.

Work collaboratively with probation services, prison teams, and partner agencies to coordinate care.

Conduct home visits and community-based appointments to provide tailored recovery support.

Deliver recovery-focused interventions and structured sessions aligned with individual care plans.

Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant case records and documentation.

Keep up to date with current substance misuse research, guidance, and best practice.
