Software Tester

Trust Tech Recruitment are working with an innovative technology company who are looking for a Software Tester to join their growing team. As a Software Tester, you will be working on modern SaaS-based products used by enterprise customers, helping to ensure high-quality digital experiences through robust testing practices across web applications, APIs, and back-end systems. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative engineering environment where testing is embedded into the development lifecycle from day one.

Key responsibilities:

• Champion software quality throughout the full development lifecycle, from planning through to deployment
• Carry out testing across APIs, databases, and web-based applications
• Collaborate with developers and product teams during refinement and design discussions to identify risks and improve quality early in the process
• Create and maintain detailed test plans to ensure strong feature and release coverage
• Support automation initiatives and contribute to improving testing efficiency
• Work closely with wider engineering teams to embed best testing practices across delivery
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders to understand requirements and communicate testing outcomes and potential risks
• Contribute to CI/CD processes, helping improve quality gates and release confidence
• Use AI-powered tools to support learning, problem solving, and test development
• Commercial experience testing complex web-based applications or SaaS products
• Experience or exposure to test automation frameworks
• Strong API testing skills using Postman or similar tools
• Good understanding of databases with the ability to write SQL queries
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a logical approach to testing
• Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Proactive mindset with an interest in modern tooling, including AI technologies such as ChatGPT, Git Hub Copilot, or similar
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices
• Comfortable working across the full SDLC and contributing to quality from the beginning of feature development
