Senior Engineer Team Leader

Senior Engineering Team Lead Hybrid(2 days in office) | Permanent We're partnering with an established technology business undergoing a major platform transformation and looking to hire a Senior Engineering Team Lead to drive technical delivery, architecture, and team development. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll split your time between building scalable software, setting technical direction, and helping engineers grow and succeed.

What you'll be doing ? Leading a product-focused engineering squad ? Driving architecture, system design, and engineering best practice ? Working closely with Product Managers to shape roadmaps and delivery ? Remaining hands-on with development, code reviews, and complex technical challenges ? Coaching and mentoring engineers through regular 1-1s and career development ? Championing modern engineering practices, including AI-assisted development tools ?

Collaborating with wider engineering teams on platform-wide initiatives What we're looking for 6 years' experience building production software Previous technical leadership experience within an engineering team Strong backend development skills in C#/.NET (or Java, Kotlin, Go)

Experience with React, Vue.js, or similar front-end frameworks Strong understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture Cloud experience (AWS preferred) CI/CD and modern software delivery experience Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Passion for mentoring and developing engineers Nice to have Enterprise systems or integration experience Previous people management responsibilities
