Class 1 Driver

Overview

GI Group is recruiting multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers for a globally recognised client in Warrington. The company delivers courier services worldwide, focusing on express road‑based markets, freight forwarding and logistics. They are known for technology, customer service and sustainability.

• Afternoon shifts on an ad‑hoc basis – 1300 to 2030 starts
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend work available and optional
• Average 12‑hour shift

• Monday‑Friday: £20.34 per hour (PAYE, includes advanced holiday pay)
• Saturday: £26.35 per hour (PAYE, includes advanced holiday pay)
• Sunday: £29.41 per hour (PAYE, includes advanced holiday pay)

• Conduct vehicle checks
• Trunk work to depots
• Deliver safely to customers across the UK
• Prioritise workload to meet time commitments

• Presentable appearance, eye for detail and positive attitude
• No more than 6 penalty points and no DD/IN/DR/DN/TT endorsement codes
• Valid, in‑date tachograph and CPC
• Good customer service skills
• At least 12 months experience as a Class 1 Driver
