About The Role
Are you an experienced HGV Driver looking for something different in your next driving role – where no two days are the same and you can combine your love of driving with a sense of pride in delivering fantastic customer service? Read on and find out more about joining a team where your contribution is truly valued.
At Sunbelt Rentals UK, our vision is to own the future of rentals. In the last year alone, we’ve invested more than £10 million on vehicles and £1.5 million on a new logistics system, ensuring our network of over 1000 transport colleagues always remain connected and our customers receive a world-class service. Our FORS Gold accreditation demonstrates our commitment to driver and vehicle safety, supporting our core value of ensuring safety as our number one priority.
Every day is different in this HGV Driver role. You’ll be on the move, travelling to a variety of event locations, major venues and construction sites, to deliver, install and collect our full range of barriers, fencing and site‑safety solutions. From temporary fencing and crowd‑control barriers to hoarding and event infrastructure, you’ll play a crucial part in keeping projects secure and events running smoothly.
As an HGV Driver, you’ll handle vehicle loading/unloading, ensure safe transport of all equipment, and support the team on site with installation where required. You’ll also demonstrate basic setup and safe use for customers, and we’ll provide all the training you need to carry this out confidently, professionally and safely.
If you enjoy hands‑on work, meeting customers, driving to different locations and being part of the setup behind major sites and events, this role will suit you perfectly.
The personal qualities you’ll bring are as important to us as your skills and experience. You’ll be the face of Sunbelt Rentals, the first person that most of our customers will see, so we’ll expect you to be a great brand ambassador. Friendly and helpful, you’ll be the kind of person who goes out of their way to help their team‑mates and customers.
What can we offer you in return? You’ll benefit from a good work/life balance working pattern of Monday‑Friday 42.5 hours per week, with the potential for overtime by mutual agreement. Some of our vehicle fleet have sleeper cabs and there may be an occasional requirement for an overnight stay.
You’ll be joining a highly successful FTSE
100 company, the UK’s largest equipment rental provider. We provide an industry leading flexible rewards package including generous holiday allowance (with the opportunity to buy and sell annual leave), life assurance, retail discount scheme, employee recognition awards and a great company pension scheme.
From day one our focus will be on your training and development, a key part of which will be attending our company induction and Sunbelt Driver Training course. Your manager will work with you to identify your personal development needs and career progression plan, including opportunities to gain new qualifications. We’re committed to developing our team‑mates and promoting internally wherever possible.
