Transport Administrator / De-Brief Clerk - Temp to Perm Opportunity

Recruit are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing logistics company based in Appleton Thorn, Warrington, a leading independent provider of next-day and scheduled delivery services for parcels and freight.

We are looking for a motivated and organised Transport Administrator / De-Brief Clerk to join a busy transport operation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with transport or logistics experience who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and fast-paced environment.

Shifts Available
  • Monday to Friday | 09:00 - 18:00
  • Monday to Friday | 10:00 - 19:00

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Job Type: Temp to Perm (Permanent opportunity available after successful agency period)

The Role

This position plays a key role in supporting the daily transport operation and ensuring excellent service standards are maintained throughout the shift. You will work closely with the Shift Manager, drivers, and operational teams to complete daily de-briefs, monitor deliveries, and help resolve operational issues efficiently.

This is a varied and hands-on role with genuine long-term career opportunities for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Completing daily driver de-briefs and reporting any service issues
  • Supporting the Shift Manager with day-to-day transport operations
  • Monitoring driver performance and delivery progress
  • Investigating and escalating driver non-compliance where required
  • Supporting drivers with route and delivery queries
  • Ensuring returned items are processed correctly in line with procedures
  • Assisting with delivery discrepancy investigations
  • Downloading handheld scanners and reporting faults
  • POD and address data entry
  • Completing vehicle audits and general transport administration
  • Maintaining accurate records and filing systems
What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience in transport, logistics, or fleet administration
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills
  • Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced transport environment
  • Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • IT confident, including Microsoft Office and transport systems experience
