Backhoe Operator at Warrior Technologies, LLC
Position SummaryThe Backhoe Operator is responsible for operating heavy construction equipment—primarily a backhoe—to excavate dirt, rock, and other materials by digging trenches, holes, and foundations, as well as grading and leveling land. A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required.

- Communication – Respectful verbal, written, and electronic communication.
- Paperwork – Complete required paperwork in a timely manner.
- Timekeeping – Clock in/out accurately and notify supervisor of a missed punch.
- Zero Tolerance Workplace – Positive drug or alcohol screen leads to immediate termination.
- Safe Driving – Practice safe driving while representing the company.
- Safety Training – Complete all required safety training promptly.
- PPE – Always wear issued personal protective equipment.
- Accident Reporting – Report accidents, incidents, and near‑misses immediately.
- Skillfully maneuver the backhoe to dig, load, and dump materials using the bucket and boom controls.
- Identify and locate underground utilities before excavation, mark digging areas, and prepare the site.
- Interpret construction plans and blueprints to ensure accurate excavation work.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on the backhoe, including fluid levels, and report any malfunctions.
- Communicate effectively with other construction workers and supervisors to coordinate site operations.
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of excavation work by checking measurements and maintaining proper grading.
- Apply mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot basic issues with heavy machinery.
- Use hand‑eye coordination to precisely control the backhoe’s movements.
- Provide physical strength and endurance to operate heavy equipment for extended periods.
- Maintain attention to detail, monitoring the work area and equipment for safety and quality.
- Operate primarily outdoors on construction sites, dealing with weather elements, dust, noise, and uneven terrain.
