We are seeking a hands‑on, analytical Process Engineer to join our team in Warsaw, Indiana. This is a key technical role within our investment casting foundry, where we produce high‑integrity components for demanding applications – including medical device, aerospace, and various other industries. You will work directly with manufacturing, quality, and product engineering teams to improve process capability, reduce variation, and strengthen the performance and reliability of our products.

This position is ideal for a mechanical or manufacturing engineer early in their career who enjoys solving complex manufacturing problems, working on the shop floor, and driving measurable improvements. Investment casting experience is not required—we provide full training on casting fundamentals, materials, and process control systems.

The role reports to the Head of Engineering.

Process Control & Continuous Improvement
  • Own and improve process control across key foundry operations (wax, shell building, casting, heat treat, finishing, and inspection).
  • Develop and implement improved control methods such as automation, sensor systems, poke‑yoke, SPC, and other error‑proofing strategies.
  • Reduce process variation and improve yield through structured problem‑solving and statistical methods.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, repeatability, and cycle time.
  • Investigate production issues using Why‑Why, fishbone diagrams, and other structured problem‑solving tools.
  • Design and execute process trials, evaluate results statistically, and recommend next steps based on data.
  • Support internal and external corrective actions and preventative actions.
Engineering Ownership & Technical Development
  • Participate in PFMEA development with cross‑functional teams.
  • Develop and refine raw material specifications (wax, ceramics, alloys) based on process needs.
  • Research, evaluate, and implement new equipment, inspection technologies, and manufacturing techniques.
  • Support Product Engineering during new product introductions, ensuring robust process control for new designs.
Documentation & Standard Work
  • Define and update standard operating procedures, work instructions, and process documentation.
  • Support IQ/OQ/PQ validations for new equipment, materials, and process changes.
What Success Looks Like in Your First Year
  • You’ve developed a strong understanding of foundry operations and primary process drivers.
  • You’ve led at least one improvement project that reduced variation, scrap, or cycle time.
  • You’ve become a go‑to resource for troubleshooting and process insight on the shop floor.
  • You’ve built strong working relationships across Operations, Quality, and Engineering.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering;
    Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  • 1–5 years of experience in a technical role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated problem‑solving skills and a strong mechanical/technical aptitude.
  • Familiarity with statistical tools and data analysis techniques.
  • Simulation experience (FEA, CFD, or similar).
  • Experience with GD&T and measurement systems.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and technical presentation skills.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. on a full‑time basis.
  • Investment casting experience (preferred).
