As a Process Engineer, you’ll work directly with manufacturing, quality, and product engineering teams to improve process capability, reduce variation, and strengthen the performance and reliability of our products. This is a key technical role within the facility where we produce high integrity components for demanding applications – including medical device, aerospace, and various other industries.
This position is ideal for a mechanical or manufacturing engineer early in their career who enjoys solving complex manufacturing problems, working on the shop floor, and driving measurable improvements.
Base pay range$85,000.00/yr - $92,500.00/yr
Responsibilities- Own and improve process control across key foundry operations (wax, shell building, casting, heat treat, finishing, and inspection).
- Develop and implement improved control methods such as automation, sensor systems, poke‑yoke, SPC, and other error‑proofing strategies.
- Reduce process variation and improve yield through structured problem‑solving and statistical methods.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, repeatability, and cycle time.
- Investigate production issues using Why‑Why, fishbone diagrams, and other structured problem‑solving tools.
- Design and execute process trials, evaluate results statistically, and recommend next steps based on data.
- Support internal and external corrective actions and preventative actions.
- Participate in PFMEA development with cross‑functional teams.
- Develop and refine raw material specifications (wax, ceramics, alloys) based on process needs.
- Research, evaluate, and implement new equipment, inspection technologies, and manufacturing techniques.
- Support Product Engineering during new product introductions, ensuring robust process control for new designs.
- Define and update standard operating procedures, work instructions, and process documentation.
- Support IQ/OQ/PQ validations for new equipment, materials, and process changes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering;
Mechanical Engineering preferred. - 1–5 years of experience in a technical role within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated problem‑solving skills and a strong mechanical/technical aptitude.
- Familiarity with statistical tools and data analysis techniques.
- Simulation experience (FEA, CFD, or similar)
- Experience with GD&T and measurement systems.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and technical presentation skills.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. on a full‑time basis.
- Investment casting experience (preferred)
