Electrical Engineering, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Operations Engineer
A fast-growing U.S. manufacturer is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support plant operations, power distribution systems, and facility infrastructure. The Electrical Engineer will ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of the plant’s electrical systems and utilities. You’ll lead preventive maintenance, support capital projects, manage contractors, and drive continuous improvement across the facility.

Target Salary: $125-140K + 7% bonus

Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (PE license or advanced degree a plus).
- 5+ years of electrical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and building systems.
- Proven project management experience (planning, budgeting, execution).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to emergencies.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs for electrical systems, HVAC, machinery, and facility infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and coordinate timely corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment history.
- Create engineering drawings for installations, upgrades, and commissioning of electrical systems, including layouts, grounding, conduits, and protection relay systems.
- Support maintenance technicians with complex troubleshooting.
- Oversee building electrical systems: lighting, fire alarms, HVAC controls, and security systems.
- Lead engineering design work, studies, test plans, and field engineering activities.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, specifications, and bid evaluations.
- Coordinate work performed by contractors, vendors, and consultants.
- Assist with developing and managing the facilities and maintenance budget.
- Maintain inventory of critical spare parts and tools.
- Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and support emergency response planning.
