The Point
72 FP&A Planning team covers a wide range of strategic firm initiatives including core planning and forecasting, reporting, month end close activities, and cost allocations. In this role, you will work closely with the Finance Planning Manager, as well as other colleagues in Finance and more broadly within the firm, playing a key role in supporting the international businesses through key analyses, reporting, and critical thinking.

Through the nature of the work, you will have a broad perspective on the firm and its strategic outlook.

• Support the Finance Planning Manager with a broad range of complex processes which include core planning and reporting, month end close activities, and cost allocations (including transfer pricing)
• Support the budget process and expense analysis for the International Management team, as well as other groups
• Support implementation and continued automation of the firm’s cost allocation models
• Support collection and analysis of time allocations across the firm
• Present analytical findings in a clear, concise, and compelling manner that will drive action plans
• Participate in monthly financial close activities, in monitoring actuals versus budget
• Play a key role in the implementation of process improvements for the FP&A team

• 3-4 years of professional experience in a corporate finance and/or accounting environment
• Undergraduate degree with evidence of strong academic performance
• Strong analytics skills, capable of managing complex models and processes, proactively identifying and resolving roadblocks
• Ability to take responsibility for a broad range of complex processes and communicate key observations to management team
• Strong attention to detail and a process-oriented approach mindset
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Experience in process improvement and automation
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards
