Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals.

Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.

• Platform Leadership & Business Partnership
• Serve as the senior Procurement leader and single point of accountability for Spine, Sports & CMFT, representing Source in platform, value-stream, financial, innovation and operational governance.
• Translate business, product and Supply Chain strategies into clear Procurement priorities, roadmaps, resource plans and executive decisions.
• Partner across R&D, NPI, Technical Operations, Planning, Quality, Regulatory, Finance, Legal, Operations, Commercial and regional teams; elevate material risks and decisions promptly.
• Procurement Strategy, Financial Performance & Value Creation
• Own the integrated platform Procurement strategy and contribution to business planning, latest estimates, long-range financial planning and annual targets.
• Build and govern a credible pipeline for margin expansion, cost competitiveness, productivity and cash flow, supported by defined baselines, Finance validation, milestones and accountable owners.
• Drive sustainable value through strategic sourcing, negotiation, supplier development, design-to-value, material and process optimization, commercial restructuring and network changes.
• Monitor purchase-price exposure, claims, inflation/market movement, capital, tooling, non-recurring expense and other commercial risks.
• Supplier Strategy, Governance & Performance
• Own the platform view of the supplier base, including spend, product dependency, ownership, criticality, capability, capacity, performance, risk and growth relevance.
