Program, set-up, and operate a variety of machine tools including CNC lathes, CNC mills, Wire EDM, and various manual (mill, lathe, surface grinder) equipment.
Identify materials and tooling required to produce prototype parts, tooling, fixtures, gages, etc.
Follow all documented procedures and work closely with engineering to design and develop fixtures, gauges.
Perform other duties as required/assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Program, set-up, and operate a variety of machine tools including CNC lathes, CNC mills, Wire EDM, and various manual (mill, lathe, surface grinder) equipment.
- Identify materials and tooling required to produce prototype parts, tooling, fixtures, gages, etc.
- Follow all documented procedures.
- Work closely with engineering to design and develop fixtures, gauges.
- Perform other duties as required/assigned.
- Detail oriented, strong analytical, numerical, planning and reasoning abilities.
- Swiss Turn Lathe CNC experience/programming is a plus.
- 5-axis milling experience/programming is a plus.
- Able to read, analyze and interpret complex manufacturing documents.
- Strong Manufacturing background (CNC/Metal cutting).
- Excellent organizational and communications skills.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex manufacturing documents and manufacture parts/fixtures start to finish.
- Working knowledge of GD&T.
- Minimum 4 years of programming experience with lathes, mills, and/or wire EDM.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Equivalent to high school education or related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum 4 years of programming experience with lathes, mills, and/or wire EDM.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk.
- The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
