Job Description

Are you a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse with excellent clinical skills? Are you confident as a healthcare professional and want to develop relationships with your coworkers and the patients under your care? If you are looking for a job offering opportunities for growth and variety, apply for the Charge Nurse position. As a Charge Nurse you are responsible for the nursing care of the patients on your shift, follow the Comprehensive Care Plan, assist the Unit Manager with documentation, and supervise the direct resident care personnel on your shift.

Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care for patients on your shift and follow the Comprehensive Care Plan.
  • Assist the Unit Manager with thorough and accurate documentation in the patient record when needed.
  • Supervise the direct resident care personnel on your shift.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and behavior and work with a dedicated team.
Qualifications
  • Licensed and registered to practice as a professional nurse in the State of Indiana.
  • Successfully complete pre‑employment process and screening.
  • Pass the physical examination required for gainful employment at the facility.
  • Professional manner and appearance.
  • Nursing policies and procedures knowledge.
  • Administration of medication, treatment administration, and local, state, and federal laws and regulations pertaining to resident care.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of nursing practices and physical, psychological, social, and medical needs of residents.
  • Competent in supervision and leadership with a caring attitude and observant judgment.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, foster a good working relationship with other staff, and maintain emotional stability.
