We are partnering with an automotive manufacturing organization to identify a Quality Systems Engineer who will play a key role in developing, implementing, and strengthening plant‑level Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Quality Operating Systems (QOS). This position offers the opportunity to lead quality systems initiatives that support compliance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement in a collaborative manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with Manufacturing Quality, Supplier Quality, IT, and cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure quality systems are effectively deployed, supported, and continuously improved to meet business and regulatory requirements.

• Lead the development, integration, and rollout of QMS and QOS systems aligned with business and operational objectives
• Support quality systems from startup through validation, training, ongoing support, and continuous improvement
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Quality, Supplier Quality, IT, and external vendors to ensure systems are effective, scalable, secure, and compliant
• Coordinate system requirements, user feedback, and best practices to ensure quality systems meet stakeholder needs
• Support supplier and manufacturing quality processes through effective quality system integration
• Lead ISO and IATF audit and certification activities at the site level
• Support and participate in supplier audits as required
• Monitor and report on quality system performance, compliance, and risk, driving corrective and preventive actions
• Provide guidance, coaching, and training to quality system users
• Support data analysis and reporting initiatives to improve data accuracy and quality insights
• Lead or support special projects focused on continuous improvement, quality excellence, and system optimization
• Support the definition and deployment of quality systems, processes, methods, and tools in collaboration with cross‑functional teams
• Define and support QOS and quality excellence initiatives across the site

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in QMS and QOS systems management, preferably within automotive manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of quality standards and tools, including:
• IATF 16949, ISO 9001
• APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA
• Demonstrated experience with QMS/QOS implementation, integration, support, and validation
• Experience integrating quality systems with ERP, MES, and/or PLM platforms (preferred)
• VDA, ISO, or IATF auditing experience; certification preferred
• Strong project management, problem‑solving, and communication skills
• Excellent technical and procedural writing skills
• Ability to work effectively across functions and with external partners
• Data‑driven mindset with a high level of integrity
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced manufacturing environment
