Overview
Senior Engineer – Transportation/Highway role at BL Companies in Rhode Island. The selected candidate will be a licensed engineer with a minimum of 7 years of experience, responsible for highway design project work in Rhode Island and potential projects in Massachusetts and/or Connecticut.
Responsibilities- Oversee all technical aspects of highway and roadway design in accordance with AASHTO and RIDOT and municipal requirements.
- Act as a resource to other team members, staff to senior engineers and other disciplines.
- Attend client meetings and presentations.
- Contribute to the preparation of proposals.
- Maintain project quality and design standards for complex projects.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Rhode Island
- 7+ years highway design experience
- Experience working with RIDOT and RI municipalities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- AutoCAD experience
