AboutJoin a talented team of individuals who serve this country by caring for our Nation’s heroes! Clay Consulting is hiring experienced Audiologists to perform one‑time, in‑person Audiology Examinations for veterans and active‑duty military personnel.
SummaryAt Clay Consulting you will apply your expertise in the evaluation and diagnosis of audiological conditions. As a disability examiner, you gather and synthesize clinical evidence through medical and military record review, interviews with Veterans, and face‑to‑face examinations. You develop a medical opinion of the likelihood that the Veteran’s condition is related to their military service. The timely and expert examination assures that a Veteran’s claim is heard and dutifully processed by the Veteran Benefits Administration.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Conduct Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams for Veterans, including but not limited to taking health histories, performing assessments, diagnostic testing and reporting.
- Prepare timely, unbiased, and complete documentation of all Veteran care as provided by law, regulation, and established policy.
- Use diagnostic audiometric tests to identify and monitor hearing disorders for Veterans.
- Conduct Tympanometry and Acoustic Reflex testing on Veterans.
- Utilize assessment and evaluation to render medical diagnoses and opinions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Exhibit a high degree of courtesy, tact, and poise when interacting with Veterans, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Adjust to fluctuating volume while maintaining quality, timeliness, and customer service.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
- Doctorate Degree in Audiology (AuD), Master’s of Audiology (M.A.), Master’s of Science Degree in Audiology (M.S.), Audiology of Speech Language Pathology Degree (PHD), Master’s in Communication Disorders (MCD), Doctor of Education in Audiology (Ed.D)
- An active and unrestricted audiologist license in the state in which exams are performed.
- Must be either ASHA certified or have completed a master’s or doctorate level through an ASHA certified program.
- 2 years experience in Audiology role (preferred).
