Job Description

Our HR team is growing, and we’re ready to welcome a new team member into our Corporate Services Team, based in Warwick QLD. This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to develop their skills and grow into a Human Resources Officer role. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to support a wide range of HR activities across the business.

We expect you to be organised, honest, approachable and take confidentiality seriously. You must be comfortable with not every day looking the same and willing to pivot as relevant projects arise.

The Role

As the Human Resources Officer, you’ll be a key point of contact for employee-related queries and general HR administration. Working as part of our collaborative Human Resources team, you’ll assist with everything from onboarding to supporting broader people initiatives and projects.

This full-time role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys variety, and is passionate about people and process.

  • Supporting HR administration across the employee lifecycle
  • Workplace Investigations
  • Coordinating onboarding, offboarding and compliance processes
  • Preparing employment contracts, HR correspondence and documentation
  • Maintaining HR systems, employee records and reporting
  • Supporting employee relations matters with appropriate guidance
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders and employees
  • Assisting with HR projects and process improvements
  • Ensuring HR practices align with policies, awards and employment legislation
  • Contributing to and managing special projects
  • Guiding and monitoring supervisors and managers in relation to performance management
Desired Skills and Experience Skills Required
  • Tertiary qualification in human resources, industrial relations or law
  • And / Or a minimum of 2 years HR related experience
  • A good understanding of Awards/Agreements including the fair work act
  • A full understanding of HR functions and best practices
  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to communicate with all levels of the organisation
  • Excellent organisational skills and capable of meeting deadlines with an ability to plan and prioritise own work
  • Outstanding phone manner and willingness to take reports
  • Exposure to the transport industry is desirable but not essential
