City Personnel is partnering with a rapidly growing, multi‑entity organization within the renewable energy and construction space to identify an experienced Accounting Manager
. This high‑impact leadership role is responsible for overseeing complex accounting operations, safeguarding financial accuracy, and strengthening internal controls across an extensive portfolio of legal entities.
The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands‑on, bringing deep expertise in construction accounting, job costing, and compliance within a fast‑paced, project‑driven environment.
Base Pay Range$/yr - $/yr
Company & Job Highlights- Scale & Complexity:
Oversee accounting operations for 65+ legal entities within a multi‑company structure - Compensation: $120,000–$135,000 annually, based on experience
- Leadership Role:
Manage and mentor a team of 2–4 accounting professionals - Industry Focus:
Renewable energy and construction, with direct involvement in WIP, draws, and retainage - Cross‑Functional Exposure:
Partner closely with executive leadership, legal, and operations teams - Growth‑Oriented Organization:
Play a key role in a stable yet expanding company focused on sustainable energy solutions - Employment Type:
Permanent, full‑time leadership position
- Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring accurate general ledger reconciliations, accruals, and job cost integration
- Manage complex intercompany transactions, eliminations, and reconciliations to support consolidated financial reporting
- Oversee project accounting functions, including project setup, budget tracking, revenue recognition, and margin analysis
- Review and approve construction draws, lien waivers, and retainage schedules
- Direct Accounts Payable operations, vendor management, and cash flow forecasting
- Manage banking relationships, intercompany funding, and treasury compliance
- Maintain and enhance accounting SOPs and internal controls
- Coordinate sales and use tax filings and respond to audit requests as the primary accounting contact
- Train, mentor, and evaluate accounting staff to support performance and professional development
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or Master’s degree strongly preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience
- Advanced knowledge of GAAP, multi‑entity accounting structures, and cash management strategies
- Prior experience in construction, renewable energy, or real estate environments is highly preferred
- Proficiency with construction‑focused ERP systems such as Spectrum and Quick Books
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage high‑volume priorities and implement process improvements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
