Forklift Operator - Milford, MA

Job Purpose

We are currently looking for a Forklift Operator in the Milford, MA area (all levels of experience) to start ASAP. The ideal candidate will be dependable and detail‑oriented with reliable transportation. The main duty is to operate a forklift to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machines, loading docks, railroad cars, trucks or storage facilities.

Learning and performing tasks swiftly and efficiently, paying attention, following proper safety procedures, and communicating is paramount.

• Follow all safety procedures at all times.
• Loading and unloading materials from vehicles such as trucks.
• Check that loads are secure.
• Perform daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck’s battery and lubricating equipment.
• Remove machine attachments and waste material from machines.
• Communicate with Carpenter, Foreman, Site Supervisor and Project Manager when necessary.
• Increase job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities (safety seminars, toolbox talks, industry‑related activities).

• Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
• Basic understanding of material types and sizes (e.g., 2x4, 2x6, sheathing).
• Basic job safety knowledge.
• Desire to learn more skills and gain more on‑site responsibilities.

Full‑time position requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week. Weekend work may be required. Conditions may include extremely cold, hot or humid environments depending on job location, in order to meet client expectations.

Must have physical strength, hand‑eye coordination and endurance. Laborers must be able to concentrate on their tasks, understand and communicate information. These abilities are essential.
