The Registered Nurse (Pre Operative) is responsible for managing individualized nursing care for patients in the emergency department, following hospital policies and procedures. The role requires ongoing assessment of patients' physical and psychological conditions, documentation, and collaboration with healthcare team members. The nurse also serves as a clinical resource and participates in staff training and development activities.

Responsibilities

• 1. Essential Functions
• 1.1 Assesses the patient's physical and psychological condition on an ongoing basis throughout the continuum of care in the ED. Documents appropriately the information obtained from the ongoing assessment. Shares significant assessment data with the appropriate discipline.

Qualifications
EDUCATION
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
EXPERIENCE
ED experience required
LICENSURE
Current state registration or eligibility to do so. BLS, ACLS Required. PALS certification must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
