As the Restaurant and Bars Manager, you will be responsible for leading the daily operations of both the restaurant and multiple bars, ensuring that exceptional guest service, operational efficiency, and financial performance are always at the forefront. You will lead and develop a talented team, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and drive the business’s success by maximizing profitability while maintaining the highest service standards.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of restaurant and bar staff. Focus on training and empowering your team to deliver exceptional service and continuously improve performance. Foster a positive, collaborative work culture that emphasizes growth, accountability, and excellence.
- Ensure an outstanding guest experience by setting and maintaining high standards of service. Address guest concerns promptly, anticipate needs, and create an environment where every guest and owner feels valued and well-cared for.
- Oversee the financial performance of the restaurant and bars, including budget management, cost control, and profitability analysis. Monitor revenue, labor costs, inventory, and sales trends to optimize performance and meet financial targets.
- Streamline daily operations to ensure smooth service and efficient workflows. Maintain a strong focus on productivity while minimizing waste, ensuring quality control, and keeping the department running efficiently.
- Collaborate with chefs to develop, plan, and refresh menus. Maintain and enhance our food and drink offerings to align with guest preferences and seasonal trends while maintaining profitability.
- Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of events hosted in the restaurant or bar, from corporate gatherings to private celebrations. Ensure events are executed flawlessly, exceeding guest expectations, while managing logistics, staffing, and budgets.
- Ensure all health, safety, and hygiene standards are adhered to. Comply with liquor licensing regulations and other legal requirements.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create and implement promotional strategies that drive sales, enhance brand presence, and attract new customers. Monitor sales data and identify opportunities for growth through targeted campaigns, special events, and seasonal offerings.
- Manage inventory levels for both the restaurant and bar, ensuring the proper stock of ingredients, beverages, and supplies. Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste, reduce costs, and maintain optimal stock levels.
- Proven experience (minimum of 3 to 5 years) in a similar role within a high-end hotel or restaurant environment.
- Strong financial acumen, including experience in budgets & P&L management, cost control, and profit optimization.
- Sales and marketing experience, with the ability to drive business through effective promotions, events, and targeted campaigns.
- Solid understanding of inventory control and management, with a focus on cost efficiency and waste reduction.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues quickly and exceed guest expectations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Event management experience, with the ability to plan, execute, and oversee events of varying sizes and complexity.
- Strong proven background in staff training to achieve and maintain desired service levels
- Strong knowledge of wines & spirits
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Proficient in computer skills, Word and Excel, Restaurant software and POS systems/programming
- Court of Master Sommelier or similar accreditation
- Degree in hotel and restaurant management
- Multi-national experience
