• Assist in the repair and overhaul of equipment, refrigeration, heating, and ventilation systems to meet customer needs efficiently, accurately, and on time.
• Provide service to customers by repairing and overhauling equipment such as compressors, water pumps, air handlers, and electrical and mechanical control devices in a safe, efficient, and timely manner that exceeds expectations.
• Perform general repair work on refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment including air conditioning units, evaporative condensers, ice machine equipment, water pumps, gas furnaces, compressors, and electric motors safely and promptly.
• Conduct preventative maintenance by diagnosing equipment malfunctions and operating deficiencies to ensure quality work performance.
• Test malfunctioning systems and components using electrical and/or mechanical skills.
• Maintain legible records of work history and process job tickets and work orders promptly.
• Provide department support by handling job tickets and coordinating with the necessary departments; assist with picking up, delivering, and installing cases as needed.
• Contribute to minor construction and remodeling projects including startups of new installations.
• Drive the company vehicle in a safe manner.
• Perform other related duties and projects as assigned by management.

• High school diploma/GED.
• EPA certification.
• Certification from an accredited vocational-technical or trade school is a plus.
• Minimum 5+ years of commercial refrigeration experience required.
• Experience working on refrigeration equipment in convenience stores or supermarkets is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with single systems and rack systems; experience with display cases and walk-in boxes is helpful.
• Good driving record and ability to work independently.
• Emergency on-call availability is a basic requirement.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and to sit or stand for extended periods.
