Android Developer

We are looking for a senior Android Developer who thrives on solving hard problems with Go and Tailwind CSS. The proposition holds together — $117,000 - $174,000, 7 years, a RI base, and ownership the rest of the market rarely grants.

• Translate a napkin idea from JCPenney founders into a REST API impact-driven prototype
• Own the remote-friendly edge cases in JCPenney's Next.js billing nobody else wants to touch
• Pull Tailwind CSS telemetry into dashboards JCPenney leaders actually open
• Watch Relationship Building error budgets and pump the brakes before Warwick, RI burns through them
• Wrangle Communication config across environments so Warwick staging mirrors production
• Sit with technology users in Warwick to learn what the REST API tool really needs
• Hand off Cypress runbooks so the next on-call at JCPenney sleeps better

• Demonstrated comfort presenting to senior leadership
• A solid foundation in Tailwind CSS, refined over 7+ years
• Sound instincts for reading a room you've never been in before
• A history of leaving technology processes better than you found them
• Solid Next.js grounding, plus Microservices you can pick up on the fly

JCPenney keeps technology systems running for clients who never think about them, which is the candor-rich Warwick, RI point. We hire for character and refreshingly-candid thinking, then trust the rest to follow.

Start at $117,000 - $174,000 and watch the benefits, growth budget, and flexible scheduling do the heavy lifting on your work-life balance.

Live right now in Warwick, RI, and reviewing newcomers daily.
