Senior Financial Accountant Warwick Permanent, Full time
Salary: £50,000 to £60,000 (dependent on experience)
We’re working with a Warwick based business to find a Senior Financial Accountant to join their high-calibre Finance team. This is a pivotal role combining technical accounting, financial reporting and business partnering, with real scope to shape key financial processes as the finance function evolves. The Role Reporting into the Financial Reporting Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting while supporting both statutory and group reporting requirements.
- Leading key month end accounting processes, including inventory, fixed assets and capitalisation of operational expenditure
- Maintaining robust balance sheet controls through high quality reconciliations and financial governance
- Owning the IFRS 16 lease accounting process, ensuring accurate accounting and reporting
- Investigating accounting issues and working collaboratively with stakeholders to resolve them
- Supporting corporation tax and deferred tax reporting through technical review and quarterly capital allowance reporting
- Acting as the key Finance contact during external audit, coordinating requests and ensuring deadlines are met
- Partnering with operational teams to improve inventory controls and working capital performance
- Driving continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to simplify, standardise and automate finance processes
- Supporting wider finance initiatives, forecasting activities and ad hoc projects as business needs evolve
- A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Good technical knowledge of IFRS
- Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel capability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive approach with a genuine interest in continuous improvement
