Shire Hall, Warwick
£12.85 per hour
16 hours per week (Tuesday - Friday, 8:00am - 1:00pm)
Temporary until 31st October 2026 (potential extension)
Warwickshire County Council are currently recruiting for a Meet & Greet / Reception Assistant to join the team at Shire Hall, Warwick. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced customer service professional to become the welcoming face of the Council, supporting visitors, staff and partners on a daily basis.
Working within a small team of three, you will provide a professional front-of-house service, assisting customers with enquiries, directing visitors to the appropriate services and helping ensure the smooth running of reception operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing a professional and friendly reception service to visitors and staff.
Greeting, signposting and assisting customers with a range of enquiries.
Answering telephone and email enquiries and taking accurate messages.
Supporting customers to access Council services.
Managing incoming and outgoing post.
Maintaining records and updating information on internal systems.
Liaising with internal teams and building partners to ensure a positive customer experience.
Reporting building and maintenance issues as required.
Supporting the wider team with administrative duties.
Undertaking responsibilities such as key holder, fire warden and first aider following training.
Key
Skills & Experience:
Previous experience within a busy customer-facing environment.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle complaints professionally.
Confident using Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Able to think on your feet and work using your own initiative.
Organised, methodical and accurate approach to work.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Resilient and capable of dealing with a varied workload and customer demands.
