A growing specialist automotive business is looking for a Junior Vehicle Build Technician to join its workshop team.
You’ll work on bespoke classic 4x4 vehicles, taking them from donor condition through to finished build.
THE ROLEAs a Junior Vehicle Build Technician, you'll work alongside experienced technicians and develop your practical mechanical skills.
You’ll be involved in:- Stripping donor vehicles
- Cleaning and assessing components
- Chassis, suspension & drivetrain builds
- Bodywork assembly
- Fitting wiring looms, trim & lighting
- Fitting mechanical and galvanised components
- Keeping build records updated
- Maintaining a clean, organised workshop
- Occasional driving to suppliers and other facilities
- Practical and mechanically minded
- Genuinely interested in vehicles
- Keen to learn and develop
- Reliable and hardworking
- Methodical with good attention to detail
- Proud of their workmanship
- A good team player
- Previous experience with classic vehicles is not essential
- Practical experience from work, college, an apprenticeship or personal projects is all relevant
- Welding/fabrication experience or an automotive qualification would be beneficial but is not essential
- Full UK driving licence required
- £26,000-£28,000 salary
