Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for Procurement Specialist on a 6 Month Contract, based in Warwick.

Role Summary

As a Strategic Procurement Specialist within Aeroderivative Gas Turbine Procurement Team, you will play a key role in developing and managing a competitive, transparent, and sustainable supply chain. Your day will involve collaborating with internal stakeholders and suppliers to drive productivity, quality, and digitalization. You will be responsible for supplier negotiations, contract management, and strategic sourcing to ensure the procurement function contributes to affordable clean energy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement commodity strategies and define local/regional material field strategies for non-pooled commodities.
  • Plan negotiations, define awarding strategies, and prepare sourcing board approvals while ensuring alignment with pooling opportunities.
  • Negotiate local, regional, or multi-site contracts, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
  • Manage relationships with assigned suppliers, contributing to the Eco System commodity strategy and developing a preferred supplier list.
  • Analyze market trends and leverage insights to optimize procurement strategies.
  • Monitor supplier performance, report key metrics, and drive early supplier involvement in cost-out initiatives. Identify and mitigate procurement risks while implementing strategic measures.
  • Ensure contractual terms are aligned with business needs by collaborating with strategic commodity management teams.
  • Project manage strategic programmes to reactivate products.
Requirements
  • Preferably 10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, commodity management, project management within a complex, global environment.
  • Strong commercial, contractual, and project management acumen.
  • Outstanding Excel skills for data analysis and reporting. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with component manufacturing processes and quality standards.
  • Experience working with a global supplier base in a matrix organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced higher education preferred.
