Operational Buyer

Overview

Rubicon Consulting is recruiting for an Operational Buyer on a 12 month contract based in Warwickshire.

• Oversee a diverse supplier portfolio, drive initial part sourcing activities, negotiate price adjustment requests, and resolve invoicing and payment discrepancies
• Manage a work queue and ensure that POs are issued in a timely manner
• Ensure close cooperation with Internal Customers (MRPCs, requisitioners) to ensure customer care and early involvement
• Contribute to the implementation and usage of globally defined methods, processes and systems to ensure high process efficiency and process compliance (e.g., compliant Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, Procurement guidelines, IT systems)
• Support Supplier Management processes (qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification)
• Update supplier evaluation systems to obtain and develop the best suppliers and ensure transparency and high procurement quality
• Maintain records of all documentation and adherence of online purchasing and contract management systems
• Support and/or lead Procurement Business Plan activities

• Strong SAP transactional experience (PS1 ATLAS module, production environment)
• Outstanding Excel skills
• 5+ years of experience in Direct Procurement
• Team player with the ability to also work independently to meet fixed deadlines, goals and objectives
• Ability to work in a complex, fast changing global organizational environment
• Bachelor’s degree
• English - Advanced/Fluent level
