About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Controls Manager to join the Project Controls Team within the Construction Directorate, supporting the delivery of major infrastructure and offshore energy projects.

The role will focus on implementing effective project controls processes, maintaining project governance, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required scope.

This is a hybrid role, requiring flexibility to travel to offices and project sites, with a minimum of two days per week in the office or on site.

Key Responsibilities

Project Controls:
Monitor and manage project schedules, costs, risks, changes, and documentation across the project portfolio.
Process Implementation:
Develop and implement project controls procedures and frameworks to ensure consistency and compliance.
Change Management:
Lead change control activities and maintain project baselines.
Governance and Assurance:
Support governance processes, decision points, stage gates, and assurance reviews.
Reporting and Analysis:
Collate and analyse project data to produce accurate performance reports, highlighting progress, risks, and variances.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify and implement improvements to project controls processes and ways of working.
Stakeholder Management:
Build effective relationships with project teams and internal and external stakeholders to support successful delivery.

About You

Essential Skills and Experience

Proven experience in a Project Controls environment, with strong project or programme management skills.
Good understanding of project management principles, governance, and the project lifecycle.
Experience implementing processes and supporting project teams.
Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
Ability to analyse data, identify issues, and develop effective solutions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Desirable

PRINCE2, APM, or an equivalent project management qualification.
